Cork’s oldest bar is located on Barrack Street on the south side of the river just 5 minutes walk from the city centre.
Recently renovated and under new management An Realt Dearg (which translates in to English as the The Red Star was formerly known as the Gateway) is open Tuesday to Sunday 5pm to close. Traditional Irish music sessions take place every Wednesday with The Céilí All Stars. While there is live music and DJs Thursday to Sunday. Enjoy the heated beergarden or relax on one of the comfy couches and take in the funky vibe.
