Hen parties in Kinsale

A hen night in Kinsale is like no other, it’s one of the best weekends that Ireland has to offer. Located less than 30km south of Cork Airport (a half hour by car), it is easily accessible by car or by public bus from the centre of Cork city. Kinsale itself is beautiful and easy to get around by foot. There are plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants, ranging from the casual local to the chic and sophisticated in this quaint heritage town. There is plenty of choice when you’re booking your accommodation too – luxury hotels, B&B’s or maybe a rented cottage is your style. Whatever it is – Kinsale has it.

You see yachts and boats, hear laughter and chat and smell the aroma of some of Ireland’s best restaurants. Often there are local musicians playing in the pubs, how are you at a sing-song?

Think about what type of hen you’re having, what are the girls into? Outdoor types can visit The Oysterhaven Activity Centre – windsurfing, dinghies and canoes are available, as are kayaks and adventure trails. You can make memories of a lifetime by creating your own pottery. Take a group class at the nearby pottery school. Get messy and have fun! Fancy something less energetic? How about a champagne & strawberry cruise around the harbour followed by some retail therapy amongst the many galleries, gift shops and great boutiques hidden amongst the narrow little streets of the town centre.  If the group is looking for a pampering package then look no further than the hotels, which have spas and offer wonderfully relaxing treatments.  Later on, have a few cocktails drinks followed by a giggle & a ghost walk through the town before painting the town red as you dance the  night away in the club.

Fancy a hen night that’s different, that will make memories and great photos? Kinsale is for the girls!
