Cork – Croom

Drive north west of the city following the Mallow/Limerick Road (N20). You will pass by Mallow (a 5 min detour brings you to the town centre) and through a series of towns including Buttevant & Charleville. After 78Kms (20 Kms beyond Charleville) you will follow the slip road off to the left for Croom (R516).

Croom – Limerick

From Croom to Limerick it is just 20Kms and is very clearly indicated on local road signs.

Limerick – Foynes

Foynes is located west of the city on the coastal estuary of the River Shannon. Follow the N20 out of Limerick City Centre to Shannonbridge Roundabout, which brings you on to the N69 Foynes Road. This is an easy drive for 38Kms along a straight forward route.

Foynes – Adare

Leaving Foynes you retrace your journey for 12 Kms. 2 Kms past Askeaton turn right on to the R518. After 9Kms this connects to the N21 (Killarney – Limerick Road). From here you head back towards Limerick which routes you straight through the middle of Adare.

Adare – Cork

After touring around Adare, continue on the N21 for Limerick. After 5Kms, you will see the signs for Cork (N20). This is the main Cork – Limerick road you travelled earlier. From here it is a direct run back to Cork.
