The Cork Midsummer Festival returns to take over Cork City this June, bringing a cavalcade of different acts to the city’s streets, parks and theatres. The Cork Midsummer Festival 2015 will run across two weekends, 12-14th and 19-21st of June, bringing a new energy to Cork City throughout.

The Cork Midsummer Festival has been a highlight in the Cork summer for many years now, and year on year it always seems to offer a bigger and better array of talent to help us celebrate the great weather. 2015 will be no exception, with a great programme of events lined up to see us through two great weekends.

The programme for this years Cork Midsummer Festival has been fully confirmed now, and once again the event will draw some of the best local, national and international musical and art performers Leeside for a spectacular series of productions across the length and breadth of the city. Offering everything from the opportunity to see life through the eyes of a pig in Fitzgerald Park and mural rejuvenation at the Old Blackrock Railway Station to the spectacular fire shows in Elizabeth Fort and the seminar on creativity for street and circus acts, The Cork Midsummer Festival has a real claim to offering the most diverse and entertaining acts coming to Cork this summer. For those more inclined to enjoy themselves from a comfortable seated position, there are also many tremendous performances ahead, with the likes of The Dark Side Cabaret, The Abbey Theatre Playwriting Pop-Up, Young-Choon Park’s evening piano recital in St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, as well as the Gala Celebration of Cork Opera House’s 160th anniversary.

With so many great things to see and do in the city across these weekends, Cork is going to be the only place to be in June. With the great atmosphere the Cork Midsummer Festival always brings with it, the city streets will come to life as the festival feeling takes over. Make sure and peruse the programme quickly, as tickets are sure to go fast for the performances.
