Ireland’s biggest and friendliest rowing competition, the Ocean to City race, will take place for the eleventh time on 30 May 2015. The race has opened up more and more in recent years, with people taking part in everything from the classic old wooden boats to currachs, skiffs, gigs and longboats, as well as kayaks and canoes. With participants entering in teams, relays and on their own, the Ocean to City race really is open to everyone. There are four courses of varying lengths, ensuring everyone who wants to take part can find a route to suit themselves. The Ocean to City race is one of the great annual events in Cork, and is sure to be a marvelous success once more in 2015.
