Surfing in Cork

Surfing

The south coast of Cork offers a number of options for those who want to get in to our crystal clear seas and have some fun.

West Cork Surf School

The school is situated on the pristine blue flag sandy beach of Inchydoney which is located just two miles from Clonakilty in the heart of West Cork. Lessons are all year round and are open seven days a week throughout the summer. During the winter months they cater for individuals and small/large groups on Saturdays and Sundays. Wetsuits, surfboards and if needed, boots, hoods and gloves are all provided. www.westcorksurfing.com

Surf G Town

Another cool company making waves (sorry about the pun) is www.surfgtown.com who are based on another Blue Flag Beach called Garretstown (only 35 minutes from Cork). These guys & gals also run lessons throughout the winter. Similarly, wetsuits, surfboards and if needed, boots, hoods and gloves are all provided.
