For walking holidays and the great outdoors, Cork County offers a myriad of different options through hills, forests along cliffs & beaches and so much more. In our out doors section we highlight some of the very popular waymarked trails. One area in particluar ‘The Sheeps Head Peninsula’ was the winner of a European Destination of Excellence Award – Tourism and Protected Areas. The area offers many loped walks and well marked trails.
Cork City by virtue of its compact size offers a wonderful walking experience for a weekend with lots of things to see and do or you can join an escorted guided tour that makes the city come alive.
