Your guide will next lead you to the seaside town of Kinsale – a small fishing town on the South Coast of Ireland. Your guide will give you a tour of the winding streets and help you select a suitable Café/Restaurant where your group have the opportunity to have lunch. While in Kinsale you can also visit Desmond Castle International Museum of Wine which today hosts the International Museum of Wine Exhibition, an intriguing story that documents the unique history of Ireland’s wine links with Europe and the wider world.
Following Kinsale the next stop will be the pretty seaside town of Cobh, formerly known as Queenstown. Cobh was the departure point for 2.5 million of the six million Irish people who emigrated to America between 1848 and 1950, so naturally it is full of history. Your guide will be on hand to give you all the history and answer any questions you may have. St. Coleman’s Cathedral towers above the town and is of such structural importance to the town complimenting the distinctly Victorian architecture and streetscape of Cobh.
